I Wear My Body Like a Skin/My Body Rides Me Like a Horse

I wear my body like a skin. Not just the actual skin part but all of it: bones, marrow, liver, ear wax, some fragile goo inside my blood vessels, my heart, all like buffalo leather, hide armor for a war I never believed in to begin with.

My body rides me like a horse. I carry its weight with a bit in my mouth and a hot crop smacking my butt cheek on the homestretch of a race I always forget I am running.
